The Departure

The train cuts through lush green forests and quiet sleepy towns. I am, at present, sitting in the train, hoping to reach my camp.

As I glance out of my window, scenic views of peaceful towns, energetic children playing games, and the diligent old man carrying out his duties while glimmering sheens of sweat fall from his face comes into view. Since I live in the city, it's quite rare to catch such scenes in our daily life. Modern skyscrapers and tall buildings get replaced with a village infested with trees and shimmering blue rivers.

An unusual tranquility flows throughout the train: the faint chatter of people, the distant sound of music, and the crinkle of a packet of someone just beginning to eat. They all meld in to form a serene environment. An undefined feeling of comfort flow through the train.

We just arrived at a station. The location is unknown to me, but I can see the merry faces of people at the arrival of the train. The platform is littered with fallen leaves and a group of people clad in formal suits and casual attire.

My friend beside me has delved into a world of dreams, and I am here pouring out my thoughts and emotions. Distant chuckles fill the atmosphere as the train commences once more. Once again, the quiet towns, the busy people, and the trickling waters will come into view. I can realize that there lies a certain calmness to the usual scenes of a village. The calmness which I longed for as a resident of a city
